Artiga Folch

Alvaro Artiga completed his Ph.D. in “Gold nanoparticles and chitosan encapsulation for therapy and sensing” in 2020 (Cum Laude mention) and during 2020 he was working as Postdoctoral researcher in the Institut de Science et d'Ingénierie Supramoléculaires (ISIS) in Strasbourg (France) in the group of Prof. Luisa de Cola. In 2021 he started working as Postdoctoral researcher in Molecular and Cellular Biology Institute (IBMC) for CNRS in Strasbourg (France), with Prof. Alberto Bianco, been in charge of nanomaterials-primary immune cells interaction studies for the European international project DIAGONAL.

In 2023, Alvaro Artiga was awarded with the Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral fellowship to start developing his own research in the group of Prof. Daniel Jaque García (UAM), specialized in bioimaging and nanothermometry for disease diagnosis, where he incorporated as cellular nanomaterial interactions specialist focusing in nanothermometry inside cells for diagnosis. Recently in 2024, Alvaro Artiga obtained the European fellowship Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) COFUND Postdoctoral Fellowship to incorporate to IMDEA-Nanociencia to continue working in intracellular nanothermometry for nanomedicine and he was selected to participate in the COST Action CA21116 (Identification of biological markers for prevention and translational medicine in pancreatic cancer (TRANSPAN)).
